The Vietnamese Embassy in Australia, the Trade Office and national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines have officially launched a program to effectively build a Vietnamese frozen avocado brand in Australia for the first time.
Under the program, Uu Dam Company exported 3 tons of high quality Booth 7 frozen avocados from the Central Highlands.
Vietnamese avocados will also be promoted on social networks, issued on cuisine e-books, while Vietnamese avocado exporters will be listed and introduced to importers, restaurants and consumers.
The exportation of the fruit to Australia has been studied and bolstered by the Vietnam Trade Office in the Oceania country since 2020.
However, Australia has yet to open its door to fresh avocado from Vietnam.
The office said Vietnam’s avocado holds huge export potential to the Australian market, thanks to its competitive prices and high quality.
Chargé d'Affaires of the Vietnamese Embassy in Australia, Pham Thi Thuy Nga, said that in the context that Australia is only open to 4 types of fresh Vietnamese fruit, the shipment and building brand of Vietnamese frozen avocados are significant, not only for turnover potential, but also affirmation of quality.
In terms of market strategy, the development path of Vietnamese avocados in Australia will be from the restaurant system to the market. Through the evaluation of restaurants, she believes that Vietnamese avocados will have a market share in Australia in the near future due to the advantages of preservation, convenience, price and quality./.
