Vietnam, Romania promote defense cooperation

At the reception, Deputy Minister of National Defence Hoang Xuan Chien affirmed that Vietnam and Romania have traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation.

The Vietnamese people always keep in mind the valuable material and spiritual assistance of the Romanian country and people in the struggle for national independence and reunification in the past, and the construction and defense of the country at present.

Thanking Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien for taking the time to receive the delegation, Ambassador Cristina Romila affirmed that Romania values and wishes to continue to deepen the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation with a rich history of more than 70 years between the two countries. She expressed her wish to deepen the relationship between the two countries in the coming time, and promote cooperation in many fields, especially in defense.

The two sides agreed that it is necessary to continue to promote more effective defense cooperation relations in accordance with the capabilities and needs of each country, in a number of areas of maintaining external exchanges and contacts at all levels; staff training; cooperation in overcoming post-war consequences; and exchanging experiences on joining the United Nations peacekeeping missions./.
