During the presenting ceremony, Vietnamese representatives confirmed they would always strictly work with the Lao public security forces to develop the peaceful, friendly and cooperative border line, effectively struggling against criminals.
Expressing their deep gratitude for the Dien Bien Provincial Party Organization and authority, especially its public security forces for assisting them in ensuring security in the region, Lao representatives suggested the two sides continue to foster the great friendship and special solidarity between the two countries and two forces.
Earlier, Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Ba Hung led a delegation to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Lao public security.
Lieutenant General Kongthong Phongvichit affirmed that during its 60 years of construction and development, the Lao public security force has always received enthusiastic support and assistance from the Party, State and people of Vietnam in general and the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam in particular. “This has made an important contribution to help the Lao public security force always fulfill the tasks assigned by the Party, State and people,” he said.
He also expressed his hope that in the coming time, the two countries' public security forces would strengthen cooperation more to ensure security, safety and order in each country, creating favorable conditions for the economic development of the two countries; affirming that Lao Police are always ready to cooperate with Vietnamese public security forces so that the people of the two countries can live in peace and stability, while promoting and nurturing a special Laos-Vietnam friendship relationship.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Ba Hung congratulated the Lao public security forces on the glorious achievements over the past 60 years; emphasizing the strong and effective cooperation in all aspects of the two countries' public security forces, not only shown in the bilateral framework but also in regional and international forums.
He showed his trust that in the coming time, the cooperation between the two countries' public security forces will continue to be strengthened, contributing to nurturing the friendship between the two countries.
The Vietnam Embassy in Laos, the representative agency of the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security in Laos and the Lao Ministry of Public Security have opened an exhibition on 60 years of Vietnamese public security experts in Laos with hundreds of photos reflecting the cooperation between the police forces of the two countries during the past 60 years.
During 60 years of history, generations of Vietnamese public security experts have not been afraid of difficulties and hardships, and have accepted all sacrifices to help the Lao public security force grow and develop./.
