"Hanoi Days in Ho Chi Minh City" to be kicked off in August

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Capital's Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024), the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports has just issued Plan No. 469/KH-SVHTT on organizing the program "Hanoi Days in Ho Chi Minh City".

According to the plan, the opening ceremony of "Hanoi Days in Ho Chi Minh City" will be solemnly held in the Nguyen Hue pedestrian street area, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City at 8pm on August 23 and live broadcast on channel H1 of the Hanoi Radio Television Station, Ho Chi Minh City Television Station, Radio and Television Station of some neighboring provinces and cities.
In addition, the program also includes an exhibition of documentary photos about the 70th anniversary of the Capital's Liberation Day; organizing friendly sports exchange between the two cities; displaying, exhibiting and introducing the quintessence of Vietnamese Taoism with the values and traditions of studious learning and respect for teachers at schools in Ho Chi Minh City; promoting and introducing products, combining with tourism promotion linking Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City; art exchange program "Youth Melody" of youth in the two cities.
"Hanoi Days in Ho Chi Minh City" is organized to promote and introduce cultural features and unique typical cultural heritage of the capital Hanoi with thousands of years of civilization and its elegant, civilized people.
The program also aims to strengthen the cooperative relationship between the two cities in promoting and exploiting the potential and advantages of culture, cultural heritage, and tourism; economy, service and trade.
The closing ceremony is scheduled to take place at 8pm on August 25./.
