HCM City Tourism Week focuses on green tourism

The 3rd HCM City Tourism Week, themed “Green on every journey”, will take place from December 4 to 10, 2023, said the City Department of Tourism in a press conference.

The event aims to stimulate domestic and international tourism demand, contributing to the growth of the city’s tourism industry and economy.
According to the HCM City Department of Tourism, this year's tourism week will be organized on a larger scale with the highlight to announce district tourism products and tourism products on spot.
The week will include a series of unique, highly experiential tourism, sports, and music activities. In addition, there are shopping promotions and demand stimulation activities for tourism products and services. About 60 tourism products are expected to be introduced to local people and tourists.
On this occasion, the Department of Tourism also coordinated with other departments to organize a competition to design a tourism check-in model and a tourism symbol to find unique design ideas, adding value to the tourism industry and increasing the attractiveness of the City's tourism brand. The organizers will select and award outstanding works with a total prize value of about 630 million VND.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa, Director of the City Department of Tourism, said that in the 10 months, the southern hub welcomed 4.1 million international visitors and 30.5 million domestic visitors, earning revenue of 140 trillion VND./.
