According to the leadership of the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Thua Thien Hue, to build this collection, the two museums not only encouraged donations and acquisitions but also actively organized activities to inspire artists and craftsmen to create works about President Ho Chi Minh. The Ho Chi Minh Museum in Thua Thien Hue partnered with the Thua Thien Hue Fine Arts Association, the University of Arts, and Hue University to host competitions and fine arts camps, gathering the talent and creativity of visual artists to produce outstanding works of art about President Ho Chi Minh. Additionally, the Ho Chi Minh Museum - Ho Chi Minh City branch collaborated with artisans to create unique works portraying him.

Participating artists depicted not only portraits of President Ho Chi Minh and his association with historical events, but also recreated images of monuments, memorial sites and landmarks related to him.
