In recent days, at the headquarters of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of HCMC, organizations, businesses and people from all walks of life have brought goods to provide supplies to people affected by natural disasters in the northern provinces. Specifically, four organizations and companies have contributed nearly VND2.9 billion to support people in the northern provinces affected by storm No. 3.
On behalf of the Relief Mobilization Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of HCMC, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of HCMC Pham Minh Tuan expressed his sincere thanks to the units, organizations and businesses for their contributions to HCMC’s Relief Mobilization Committee to support people in the provinces affected by storm No. 3.
As of 23:59 on September 23, the city's Relief Mobilization Committee received more than 192.3 billion VND to support the northern provinces damaged by Typhoon Yagi, HCMC’s Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee said.
The HCMC Relief Mobilization Committee said that the city has decided to distribute 100 billion VND to 13 provinces: the provinces of Cao Bang, Lao Cai and Yen Bai, each province 10 billion VND; and Hai Phong city, provinces of Quang Ninh, Hai Duong, Hoa Binh, Lang Son, Bac Giang, Tuyen Quang, Ha Giang, Lai Chau and Phu Tho, each province 7 billion VND. In addition, the city has transferred 20 billion VND to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
Regarding goods, all goods have been distributed to the localities of Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Thai Nguyen, Ha Giang, Hai Duong and Phu Tho.
The HCMC Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee said that the work of receiving and distributing relief goods is being accelerated to deliver them as quickly as possible to people in great difficulty./.
