This event was held to commemorate the birth anniversary of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, Thailand's National Day, and Father's Day (December 5, 2024), while also contributing to the blood supply for hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City.
During the program, the Thai community, along with representatives from organizations, agencies and businesses, participated in various activities, including a cycling parade to promote blood donation and the actual blood donation campaign.
Speaking at the event, Ms. Wiraka Moodhitaporn, Consul General of Thailand to Ho Chi Minh City, highlighted that this program benefits society, the community, and the nation by providing an opportunity for the Thai community in Ho Chi Minh City to engage in meaningful acts of kindness.
She emphasized that the event also reflects the close relationship between Thailand and Vietnam, not only at the governmental level but also among citizens and businesses of both countries.
By the end of the program, organizers collected more than 100 units of blood to support medical treatments at local hospitals./.
