South African Ambassador pays working visit to northern province

Nguyen Van Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh provincial People’s Committee, received Ms. Kgomotso Ruth Magau, South African Ambassador to Vietnam, who came to the province for a working visit.

During the meeting, Mr. Thanh introduced to the South African ambassador the potential and strength of the province. Accordingly, it is said to be situated in a driving force position and have a rapid growth in the northern key economic region.

However, it is facing issues that need to be addressed, including traffic infrastructure, the training of high quality human resources, administrative procedures to create favourable conditions for investors.

The Quang Ninh provincial People’s Committee Vice Chairman said he hoped that the two sides would promote investment cooperation, building a foundation for sustainable cooperation between Quang Ninh province, and Vietnam in general, with South Africa.

Kgomotso Ruth Magau affirmed that there would be active dynamics to promote the cooperation between the two countries. During the visit, the South African ambassador said she wanted to study more investment opportunities in Quang Ninh, especially in tourism and mineral exploitation./.
