He appreciated Hanoi’s role in the livestock competitiveness and food safety project (Lifsap), expressing his hope that the project on protecting food safety, expected to be carried out by WB in Vietnamese localities, including Hanoi, would be a success.

According to the WB Country Director to Vietnam, WB is willing to provide solutions in managing air quality, and supporting the Vietnam National University - VNU Hanoi to become one of the leading universities in Asia.

Chairman Chung expressed his thanks to WB for effectively supporting Hanoi in traffic and water management, adding that he agreed with WB cooperation proposals in terms of traffic, agriculture and rural areas, and environment.

Noting that in 2017, 10 automatic air monitoring stations were installed in Hanoi, with an expected higher number in the future, Chairman Chung said he hoped that WB would help train human resources in analyzing environmental data collected from monitoring activities, thus mapping out a plan for upgrading the quality of air and lakes in the city./.
