Russian President signs decree on holding Russia and Vietnam Year

On October 3rd, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin signed a decree on organizing Russia and Vietnam Year in 2019.

Sputniknews of Russia on October 3rd quoted the decree posted on the government’s legal information portal saying that in 2019, the Russian Federation Year in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Year in the Russian Federation will be held, with the aim to further develop the Russia – Vietnam relationship.

President Putin also adopted the organizing committee of the Russia Year in Vietnam, which will be headed by Deputy Prime Minister Maxim Akimov.

Russian Special Presidential Representative for International Cultural Cooperation Mikhail Shvydkoi; Vice President of the Russian Academy Andrey Andrianov; Minister of Education and Science Olga Vasilyeva; leader Rosmolodezh Alexander Bugaev; Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov; and Deputy Defence Minister Alexander Fomin, are among the organizing committee’s members.

According to the signed decree, the Government of the Russian Federation is responsible for giving necessary support to the organizing committee’s work./.
