The delegation included ambassadors from South Africa, Morocco, Mozambique, Pakistan and the Counselor of the Libyan Embassy in Vietnam. They visited Ba Vi National Park and offered incense at the temple, which honors President Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam’s beloved leader and a distinguished cultural figure of humanity.
The diplomats expressed admiration and respect for President Ho Chi Minh, recognizing him as a hero of Vietnam’s liberation and an inspiring figure for African nations in their struggles for independence from colonialism in the early 20th century.
Before their visit to the temple, the African ambassadors, diplomatic officials and representatives from the Middle East–Africa Department of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs toured and worked with the management board of Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park.
The delegation was introduced to the park as a center for technology and innovation in Vietnam, envisioned as a model economic hub and a future tech city.
At the park, they visited Q&T Polymer Multilayer Substrate Paper Manufacturing Company, where Mr. Luong Ngoc Anh, the company’s chairman, presented its state-of-the-art factory. This facility, one of the world’s most advanced in polymer multilayer substrate paper production, showcases Vietnam’s self-sufficiency in producing high-quality materials for currency printing.
South African Ambassador Vuyiswa Tulelo expressed admiration for Vietnam’s capability in producing polymer substrate materials for currency printing. She also highlighted her interest in exploring cooperation between the two countries in this field.
Moroccan Ambassador Jamale Chouaibi noted that despite being on different continents, Vietnam and Morocco share many similarities. He emphasized that Morocco’s open economy and Vietnam’s emerging economy, now entering a new phase of development, offer a foundation for bilateral cooperation. Vietnam’s advances in mastering printing technologies, particularly in currency printing, demonstrate significant progress and present opportunities for collaboration in this and other areas.
The management board of Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park expressed that the visit offered a unique and inspiring experience for the ambassadors and diplomats. It also highlighted opportunities for fostering cooperation between nations and businesses, aiming for sustainable and mutually beneficial development./.
