Bac Ninh looks to sign twinned relationship with Kazakhstan locality

Vice Chairman of the Bac Ninh Provincial People’s Committee Ngo Tan Phuong expressed his hope that Bac Ninh and Kazakhstan’s East Kazakhstan province would discuss signing a memorandum of understanding on establishing twinned cooperation.

He made his remarks on April 24 when leading a delegation to hold talks with Mr. Kosherbayev E.B., Governor of East Kazakhstan province.
According to Mr. Phuong, if the memorandum of understanding is signed, it will open up comprehensive cooperation on investment, trade, science and technology, cultural and social exchanges between the two provinces, contributing to promoting the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Kazakhstan.
He also shared the pain and loss of the people of East Kazakhstan province after the historic flood in early April this year and wished people in the affected areas to soon stabilize their lives.
The Governor of East Kazakhstan province thanked the Bac Ninh province delegation for the good feelings, and expressed good impressions of the country and people of Vietnam, especially the successful development of Vietnam in the reform process.
The Governor of East Kazakhstan province said that the government of East Kazakhstan province, as well as relevant Kazakh agencies, strongly support the establishment of twinned relations with Bac Ninh, considering this a positive lever to promote bilateral relations between localities of the two countries, in accordance with the wishes of the leaders and people of the two countries. He added he is looking forward to visiting Vietnam and the land of a thousand years of civilization, Bac Ninh, in the near future.
