Brazilian Ambassador presented “For peace and friendship among nations” insignia

President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) on February 6 presented a “For peace and friendship among nations” insignia to Brazilian Ambassador to Vietnam Fernando Apparício da Silva, for honoring his contributions to reinforcing and strengthening the relationship between the two countries.

According to Ambassador Nguyen Phuong Nga, during his tenure in Vietnam, Mr. Fernando Apparício da Silva has made positive contributions to strengthening Vietnam - Brazil relations in many fields, promoting good traditional relations, solidarity and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two peoples.
Ambassador Fernando Apparício da Silva enthusiastically supported the Portuguese - Vietnamese Dictionary project. During the blockade due to COVID-19, he invited many famous scholars to speak in online conferences to introduce and promote Brazilian history and literature to a large number of Vietnamese people; organized Brazilian film weeks in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City; and visited and talked with students in many Vietnamese universities.
During his term in Vietnam, Ambassador Fernando Apparício da Silva also focused on increasing trade between the two countries. He invited many Brazilian businesses to visit and learn about the Vietnamese market. Trade workshops with the participation of a large number of Vietnamese and Brazilian businesses were successfully organized by Ambassador Fernando Apparício da Silva and the Brazilian Embassy.
Expressing his honor to receive a noble award from VUFO, Ambassador Fernando Apparício da Silva thanked the Vietnamese people for their hospitality and friendliness.
"During my tenure, the Brazilian Embassy in Vietnam and I have paid a lot of attention to cultural exchanges. Besides trade, culture and bilateral understanding play a very important role in increasing the relations between the two countries," said Ambassador Fernando Apparicio da Silva.
On this occasion, Ambassador Fernando Apparício da Silva also congratulated Vietnam for its achievements in overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic and affirmed that despite leaving Vietnam, Vietnam will always be in his heart./.
