Liang Wen Tao, Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Economic and Trade Council, Chairman of the Members' Council and General Director of TYF Business Consulting, said that, established for nearly 20 years, the Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business headquartered in Beijing with facilities in Shanghai, Shenzhen and representative offices in Hong Kong (China), London (the UK) and New York (the US), has trained more than 20,000 students, with more than half among them being CEOs or presidents of top enterprises in China.

The school participates in co-organizing the Program "Leaders of the new ASEAN economy" to be held in Vietnam from July 31 to August 4.

The program in Vietnam this time will see the participation of many Chinese businessmen and senior leaders of leading industries in China in the fields of manufacturing, real estate, information technology, foreign trade, e-commerce, logistics, energy, environment, finance and cultural tourism; and entrepreneurs who have established businesses or have specific investment plans in ASEAN in general and Vietnam in particular.

The members of the delegation hoped that through the meeting, they would enhance their understanding and capture more information about Vietnam in general and Bac Ninh in particular, and hoped that in the future there would be many opportunities to choose Bac Ninh as the next investment location.

Welcoming the delegation of the school, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huong Giang emphasized the comprehensive strategic partnership and cooperation between Vietnam and China in all fields. “China plays an important role in the global supply chain, is the main production point for high-value electronic products and components, and is also a large consumer market of Vietnam in general and Bac Ninh province in particular,” she said.

She also informed about the geographical location, potential, advantages and the situation of socio-economic development of Bac Ninh province over the past time, with a stress about the province’s investment environment and FDI attraction. Up to now, Bac Ninh province has granted investment registration to 1,975 projects from 39 countries and territories, with a total investment capital of over USD24.4 billion. China alone has 440 projects with a total registered investment capital of USD950 million, not including capital from China’s Hong Kong and Taiwan businesses. Chinese enterprises have contributed to creating jobs for workers and actively boosting the socio-economic development of Bac Ninh province, according to Ms Giang.

Sharing about the development orientation in the coming time, she expressed her hope that, through the meeting, Chinese businesses will better understand the investment environment of the province and will invest in Bac Ninh in the future.
