Da Nang promotes cooperation with Japanese partners

On July 14, the Da Nang Innovation Startup Support Center organized an online workshop "Connecting investment to the innovation startup ecosystem between Da Nang and Japanese partners" to create opportunities for the city's innovative start-ups to develop and access the Japanese market.

Ms. Vu Thi Bich Hau, Deputy Director of Da Nang Department of Science and Technology, said that there are great opportunities and potential between Da Nang and Japanese partners. Therefore, the workshop is a premise to promote investment connection activities so that Da Nang's innovative start-ups have conditions to develop, access to the Japanese, Northeast Asia and the Southeast Asian region, and international market.
At the workshop, the delegates discussed the issues relating to strengthening cooperation between Da Nang and Japanese partners to organize programs, seminars and courses of the two sides to improve the ability of start-up, exchange and experience sharing; develop a startup and innovation ecosystem to access regional and international markets; propose possible solutions in completing the system of legal corridors and policies to attract investment capital in the integration period.
Representative of Japanese enterprises, Mr. Nakagawa Wataru, Director of Murata Manufacturing Vietnam Company, shared that Central Vietnam has a close relationship with Japan and is also a place where Japanese businesses can conveniently carry out business activities. Therefore, the Japan Business Association will cooperate with the Vietnamese and contribute to the further development of Da Nang.
Since the beginning of 2020, Da Nang has supported 23 innovative start-ups with a total budget of more than VND4.1 billion. In addition, the city has a total of 147 projects and over 50 innovative start-ups formed through support programs.
In 2021, the locality has further connected with partners such as India, Singapore, Australia, the United States, France, and the International Association of French-speaking associations as a premise for extensive cooperation on innovation startups after the pandemic./.
