Further promoting cooperation between Bac Ninh and Cuban localities

Impressed by the development of Bac Ninh, Ambassador Orlando Nicolás Hernández Guillén emphasized that Bac Ninh is the locality he has visited the most during his tenure in Vietnam. He also noted that the recent visit by Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan to Cuba in early October was highly successful, further promoting cooperation potential, particularly in agriculture, between Bac Ninh and Cuban localities.

The Ambassador provided an update on the recent state visit by Party General Secretary To Lam to Cuba, highlighting the visit as a reflection of solidarity and further strengthening the friendship and deepening future cooperation goals between the two countries. The visit resulted in an agreement between the top leaders of the two Parties and two States to enhance collaboration in pharmaceuticals, ensuring that the best and latest products are provided to both the Vietnamese and regional markets.

The Ambassador expressed his hope that in the future, Cuban localities will establish more partnerships with Bac Ninh, especially in agriculture. He also hoped that the provincial leaders would support and introduce local enterprises to explore investment opportunities in Cuba’s agricultural projects, which are currently attracting investment. Cuba is committed to offering the most favorable conditions for Vietnamese businesses, including those from Bac Ninh, when investing in Cuba.

Welcoming the Ambassador back to Bac Ninh, Chairman Vuong Quoc Tuan congratulated him on completing his tenure in Vietnam with outstanding success and recognized his important role in promoting friendly cooperation between Cuba and Vietnam, and with Bac Ninh in particular. He also affirmed that Bac Ninh has been a key locality receiving support from the Cuban Embassy, facilitating numerous activities involving Cuban Party and State leaders in Bac Ninh.

He also conveyed Bac Ninh Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan's gratitude to the Ambassador for supporting the Bac Ninh delegation during their successful and memorable visit to Cuba.

The Chairman mentioned that Dabaco Group Joint Stock Company is currently exploring forms of cooperation in Cuba, including providing vegetable oil, ready-to-eat eggs, and other specialized products for the Cuban market. Bac Ninh is also researching policies to implement a large-scale rice-growing project in Gia Binh and Luong Tai districts, with the aim of exporting processed products to Europe. These initiatives will serve as valuable experiences for Cuba in advancing agricultural production.

He expressed his hope that, after the Ambassador’s term in Vietnam concludes, he will continue in his new role to act as a bridge to further strengthen the excellent friendship between the two countries, and between Cuba and Bac Ninh./.
