At the meeting, mentioning the upcoming opening plan of the PCA Representative Office in Hanoi, PCA Secretary General Marcin Czepelak hoped that the PCA Representative Office and Hanoi agencies would have many opportunities to cooperate; and said he believed that the Hanoi Capital Government will pay attention to and support the activities of the PCA Representative Office.

He added that, as a Permanent Court of Arbitration, many disputes will be handled by the PCA right in Vietnam, which means more foreigners will come to Vietnam and Hanoi, being an ideal condition to promote the city and country to the international community. On the other hand, the presence of the PCA Representative Office in the city will also leave positive impacts on the commercial community, thereby making an important contribution to the overall development of the capital. On that basis, Secretary General Marcin Czepelak affirmed that the PCA will accompany Hanoi in building a beautiful and positive image of the city.

Appreciating the sharing of Secretary General Marcin Czepelak, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Hong Son said that the operation of the PCA Representative Office will not only play an important role for the PCA, but also for Vietnam in general and Hanoi capital in particular.

He emphasized that the PCA's establishment of a representative office in Hanoi can be considered an important new step forward for the Vietnamese justice sector, and an affirmation of the development of the Vietnamese justice sector. “This move will certainly strengthen the confidence of foreign investors, especially large corporations, in considering investment in Vietnam in general and in Hanoi in particular,” he added.

He confirmed that Hanoi will create the best conditions for the operation of the PCA Representative Office in the city./.
