Secretary of the HCMC Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen and Secretary of the Shanghai Party Committee

At the beginning of the talks, Secretary of the HCMC Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen conveyed the greetings of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, senior leaders of the Party, State, and people of Vietnam to the Party Committee and Government, people of Shanghai City and the Secretary of the Shanghai Party Committee Chen Ji Ning.
Mr. Nguyen Van Nen expressed his pleasure at the positive development of relations between the two Parties and two States since General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's historic visit to China in the fall of 2022.
Secretary of the Shanghai City Party Committee Chen Ji Ning warmly welcomed Secretary of the HCMC Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen and the HCMC high-ranking delegation to visit and work in Shanghai City in the context of China - Vietnam celebrating 15 years of comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership in 2023. Mr. Chen Ji Ning emphasized that in the past 30 years, Shanghai and HCMC have signed cooperation agreements in many fields.
Secretary of HCMC Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen expressed his impression of China’s great development achievements in general and Shanghai City in particular.
During the process of building and cultivating the Vietnam-China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperation Partnership, the Party Committee, government and people of Ho Chi Minh City always attach importance to maintaining and developing relationships with ministries, branches and localities of China, and follow the motto "16 words" and the spirit of "4 good things".
The Secretary of the HCMC Party Committee believes that the two cities will continue to improve the substance and deepen the friendly and cooperative relationship between Ho Chi Minh City and Shanghai City in particular, and with Chinese localities in general in the coming time.
Expressing his impression of the strong and dynamic development of Ho Chi Minh City and Shanghai ties, Mr. Chen Ji Ning shared his pleasure with the cooperation results between the two cities and affirmed that the two cities have many similarities and great cooperation potential.
At the same time, Mr. Chen Ji Ning discussed and shared about the economic and social development of Shanghai City in recent years. The two cities still have a lot of room to cooperate in many fields, contributing to promoting the implementation of high-level common awareness, helping the relationship between the two countries and the two cities to continuously develop stably, healthily and sustainably in the coming time.
After the talks, Mr. Nguyen Van Nen and Mr. Chen Ji Ning witnessed the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding on Friendly Exchanges and Cooperation (MOU) between the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of HCMC and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference of Shanghai City; Ho Chi Minh City Police and Shanghai City Police./.
