During the meeting, Vice Chairman Vo Van Hoan highly appreciated the visit and discussions of the Australian delegation, emphasizing the growing friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Australia. This comes especially as both countries elevated their relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in March 2024, expanding the framework for collaboration across various sectors for businesses and citizens of both nations.

Both sides exchanged specific steps to enhance awareness, expand market access opportunities, and strengthen the capabilities of enterprises in the upcoming period. These efforts aim to realize initiatives that benefit both parties. This aligns with Australia's national strategy, titled "Investment: Australia's Southeast Asia Economic Strategy to 2040," which aims to promote two-way trade and investment between Australia and Southeast Asian countries.

Vice Chairman Vo Van Hoan affirmed that Ho Chi Minh City has significant potential and is capable of effectively implementing the 10 economic strategy areas for Southeast Asia by 2040 outlined by the Australian Government, along with enhancing cooperation in 8 specific areas between the two countries. These initiatives are well-suited to the city's dynamic transformation, particularly towards green growth and digital transformation, which are global development trends.

Impressed by the dynamic development of Ho Chi Minh City, Australian Government Special Envoy for Southeast Asia Mr. Nicholas Moore noted that Australian enterprises see ample potential in cooperating with Ho Chi Minh City. During this working visit, in addition to focusing on digital economic development cooperation and supporting startups, the Australian delegation will prioritize sectors such as financial technology, high-tech agriculture, cybersecurity and education cooperation in Vietnam. This initiative aims to facilitate effective cooperation opportunities for enterprises, contributing not only to prosperity for both sides but also to ensuring stability and prosperity in the region./.
