Ho Chi Minh City and Lao Province sign cooperation in mass mobilization

The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) of Ho Chi Minh City and the Lao Front for National Construction (LFNC) of Champasak Province have signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the 2022-2024 period.

The cooperation was reached during a talks between To Thi Bich Chau, Chairwoman of the VFF of Ho Chi Minh City, and the LFNC of Champasak Province, on July 26.

Accordingly, the deal will cover exchange of experiences in front work on people mobilization; exchange of the situation of socio-economic and cultural development, the situation between the two localities; and research of front work.

In particular, from 2022 to 2024, the VFF of Ho Chi Minh City will provide a full master scholarship support to a cadre and 1-2 university scholarships to Lao cadres.

On this occasion, the delegation presented the LFNC of Champasak Province USD5,000 for working equipment; USD10,715 for building 3 solidarity houses; and USD8,571 for donating 200 gifts to poor households.

On the same day, the delegation also had a meeting with the Vietnamese Association of Champasak Province, and gave 100 gifts to overseas Vietnamese in difficult circumstances.

Ms To Thi Bich Chau sent her greetings and encouraged the Association to continue its efforts to unite the Vietnamese community in the beautiful and peaceful country of Laos, contributing to strengthening the relationship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States and peoples of Vietnam and Laos as well as the friendship, cooperation and twinning relationship between Ho Chi Minh City and Champasak Province./.
