Ho Chi Minh City promotes cooperation with Germany

At the event, Nguyen Anh Tuan, Chairman of the Vietnam-Germany Friendship Association in Ho Chi Minh City, extended congratulations on the social and economic achievements Germany has made over the past three decades, noting that Germany has maintained its leading role within the European Union.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan emphasized that the Vietnam-Germany Friendship Association in Ho Chi Minh City has consistently worked in collaboration with the German Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City and German partners to establish relationships, provide management consultation, transfer technology and undertake charitable projects. These efforts have contributed to strengthening friendship and understanding between the peoples of Vietnam and Germany.

He also shared information about the close coordination with the German Consulate General and active participation in joint events as part of the upcoming celebration of 50 years of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Germany in 2025. He expressed confidence that both sides will continue to be reliable partners, enthusiastic advisors, and dedicated members in all activities aimed at enhancing and reinforcing the traditional friendship and strategic partnership between the two nations.

Ms. Josefine Wallat, the German Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, expressed her gratitude to HUFO for organizing the 34th anniversary celebration of German Unity Day. She was pleased with the positive development of the Strategic Partnership between Germany and Vietnam and praised the successful cooperation of German businesses in Ho Chi Minh City, particularly in sectors such as services and medical equipment. She also acknowledged the significant contributions of Vietnamese students and interns currently living and working in Germany to the overall development of the relationship between the two countries.

The German Consul General expressed her desire for continued positive cooperation with HUFO and the Vietnam-Germany Friendship Association in Ho Chi Minh City in organizing events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries (1975 - 2025). She especially highlighted cultural exchange and people-to-people diplomacy activities as key to strengthening and developing the friendship and cooperation between Germany and Vietnam./.
