Japanese prefecture wishes to receive high-quality Vietnamese workers and technical interns

On November 16, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu received Mr. Muraoka Tsugumasa, Governor of Yamaguchi prefecture and the delegation from the prefecture on a visit to Vietnam.

At the meeting, Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu expressed his delight at the strong and comprehensive development of Vietnam - Japan relations, with high political trust and being in the best stage ever.

In particular, cooperation and exchange between Yamaguchi prefecture and Vietnam continued to achieve many positive results, especially in the fields of investment, labor and education and training.

Welcoming Governor Muraoka's visit to Vietnam, he said that the visit was timely, being a practical activity towards the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan in  2023.

He highly appreciated Governor Muraoka's sentiments, initiatives and efforts in promoting relations with Vietnam, and promoting relations with Vietnam through the Memorandum of Understanding signed with Binh Duong province in December 2014.

Assessing the great potential for cooperation between Yamaguchi prefecture and Vietnam, he suggested Governor Muraoka continue to promote delegation exchanges, people-to-people exchanges and cooperative relations between Yamaguchi prefecture and Vietnam on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2023; and affirmed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is always ready to support and create favorable conditions and promote mutually beneficial cooperation between Yamaguchi prefecture and Vietnam.

At the meeting, Governor Muraoka Tsugumasa expressed his pleasure to visit Vietnam again; highly appreciated the effective cooperation and support between Yamaguchi and Binh Duong in the recent fight against the COVID-19 pandemic; and expressed deep gratitude for the special affection of the Vietnamese leader and people for the late Prime Minister Abe.

He affirmed that inheriting the will of the late Prime Minister Abe, Yamaguchi prefecture attaches great importance to and wishes to promote relations with Vietnam, including promoting businesses to invest in Vietnam.

Confirming that he would continue to make efforts to promote mutually beneficial cooperation between the two sides, he suggested the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs support and assist Yamaguchi prefecture to strengthen multifaceted cooperation with Vietnam. 

He also expressed his wish to receive more high-quality Vietnamese workers and technical interns to work in the prefecture; promote the export of products that are trademarks of the province such as beef and puffer fish to Vietnam; enhance cooperation in investment, trade, labor, education and training, people-to-people exchanges, cooperation between Yamaguchi and Binh Duong as well as localities of Vietnam on the occasion of the two countries' 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations./.
