On July 24, Khanh Hoa province signed a plan to implement a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Northern Territory of Australia on cooperation between the two localities in the period of 2023-2028. Witnessing the signing ceremony were Vietnamese Ambassador to Australia Nguyen Tat Thanh, and Consul General of Vietnam to Perth Nguyen Thi Thanh Ha.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan highly appreciated the signing of the MoU and affirmed that it is a clear demonstration of the strong and long-term partnership between Khanh Hoa province and the Northern Territory during the past 25 years, since the two sides signed the MoU in 1998.

The two sides signed this plan to inherit and promote the good cooperation results of the two localities, concretize the contents of the MoU, promote the exploitation and promotion of the potentials and strengths of the two localities in all fields of mutual interest, including education and training, tourism, agriculture, marine economy, and labor cooperation.

This year, as Vietnam and Australia hold many activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of their diplomatic relations, Khanh Hoa province's signing of the MoU with the Northern Territory on cooperation between the two localities in the 2023-2028 period is one of the proofs showing the increasingly close connection between the two countries not only at the highest level, but also stronger and deeper local cooperation, creating a firm foundation for bilateral relationship./.
