Long An strengthens cooperation with Korean businesses in many fields

Long An province wants to connect local industrial parks with Korean investors in many fields, especially high technology, innovation, renewable energy and logistics.

From April 22 to April 26, the delegation led by Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Long An Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Van Ut, paid a working visit for investment promotion in the Republic of Korea (RoK).

This business trip will continue to introduce potential and development orientation, reaffirming Long An as a destination with ideal investment opportunities for Korean businesses; and continue to connect Long An's Industrial Parks with Korean investors in many fields, especially high technology, innovation, renewable energy and logistics.

The delegation met Korean former President Lee Myung Bak, who pledged support in connecting and promoting cooperation between Korean businesses and investors to study investment in Long An, especially in green growth. In addition, he will connect the province to work with the Mayor of Seoul so that the two localities will have friendly cooperation during the next business trip to the RoK.

On the same day, the delegation visited and worked with the Vietnamese Embassy in the RoK with the goal of strengthening regular relationship building and effectively exploiting the influence of Vietnamese representative agencies, promoting and improving the effectiveness of promoting and introducing Long An's image as well as connecting Korean localities and businesses to Long An to learn about the investment environment and promote development cooperation in economic, cultural and social fields.

Speaking at the meeting, Ambassador Vu Ho welcomed the Long An province delegation to visit the RoK. The Ambassador highly appreciated Long An's efforts in attracting foreign investment in recent times, especially from the RoK. He affirmed that he will always be ready to support Long An in promoting its potential, connecting with Korean investors and promoting bilateral cooperation.

As planned, the delegation will visit and hold talks with the Governor of Jeju province about the potential for economic, cultural and social development cooperation between the two localities; have important working sessions with the Jeju Free International City Development Center, Yooshin and Zenith Groups. In particular, Long An will organize a conference promoting investment, potential and opportunities for infrastructure development in Seoul with the participation of more than 100 major Korean corporations./.
