Mongolia highly values and prioritizes relations with Vietnam

On July 4th, within the framework of the working visit to Mongolia, Mr. Nen met with Yangug Sodbaatar, Secretary-General of the ruling Mongolian People's Party.

During the meeting, Mr. Nen respectfully conveyed the regards of Communist Party of Vietnam General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to the Chairman of the Mongolian People's Party and Prime Minister Luvsannamsrain Oyun-Erdene.

Congratulating the Mongolian People's Party on its important victory in the recent parliamentary elections, which reflects the voters' trust in the leadership of the Mongolian People's Party, he highly appreciated the significant achievements that Mongolia has obtained. He expressed confidence that the Mongolian Government will successfully implement its major current policies, namely the “New Revival Policy” and the strategic goals of “Vision 2050,” enhancing Mongolia’s role and position in the region and internationally.

He affirmed that the Party and the State of Vietnam always value developing traditional friendship relations with the Mongolian People's Party and the State of Mongolia.

Warmly welcoming Mr. Nen and the delegation to Mongolia, Yangug Sodbaatar, Secretary-General of the Mongolian People's Party, emphasized the importance of the visit in the year the two countries celebrate the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations (November 17, 1954 - November 17, 2024). He expressed gratitude and conveyed the regards and best wishes of the Chairman of the Mongolian People's Party to Vietnamese Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

The Secretary-General of the Mongolian People's Party emphasized the traditional friendly relationship between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Mongolian People's Party, affirming that the Mongolian People's Party and the State of Mongolia highly value and prioritize relations with Vietnam.

Pleased with the significant progress in Vietnam-Mongolia relations in recent times, both sides agreed to strengthen relations through Party, State, and people-to-people channels. This includes maintaining high-level and various other levels of delegation exchanges, and coordinating well in organizing activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Mongolia in 2024.

The two sides agreed to enhance relations through Party channels, promoting the strategic guiding role of the two ruling parties in the overall relations between the two countries. They also agreed to foster practical and effective cooperation in economic, trade and investment areas, aligning with the potential and strengths of each country; and to intensify people-to-people exchanges and cooperation between localities to enhance mutual understanding and friendship, thereby creating a solid social foundation for the development of Vietnam-Mongolia relations.

During the visit, Mr. Nen and the Vietnamese delegation had meetings and working sessions with the Governor of Ulaanbaatar, visited the Ho Chi Minh School in Ulaanbaatar, and met with the Vietnamese Embassy and the Vietnamese community in Mongolia./.
