National Politics Academy increases cooperation with Australian partners

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang welcomed and highly appreciated Mr. Andrew Goledzinowski's appointment as Ambassador to Vietnam; expressed his belief that, with his capacity and experience, the Ambassador will excel in his duties and make important contributions to promoting and deepening the Vietnam-Australia Strategic Partnership.

He emphasized that over the past time, the relationship between the two countries has developed very well, especially as since the two countries established the Strategic Partnership in 2017, the political relationship has become closer and closer.

Cooperation between the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Australian partners has also developed very well, notably the project "Establishing and enhancing the capacity of the Vietnam-Australia Center" to improve the capacity of Vietnamese leaders and managers to meet the needs of integration and development of the country, and promote the close, positive and sustainable cooperation between the two countries.

Mr. Thang said he hoped that Ambassador Andrew Goledzinowski, during his tenure, would continue to promote as well as act as a bridge for cooperation between the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Australian partners, including the Australian Embassy in Vietnam.

Australian Ambassador to Vietnam Andrew Goledzinowski expressed his honor to be appointed Ambassador to Vietnam at a very important time for Vietnam-Australia relations when the two countries are preparing to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations and five years of establishing the Strategic Partnership in 2023. The Ambassador affirmed that the most important task during his term in Vietnam is to constantly consolidate and strengthen political trust, because this is the important foundation for Vietnam-Australia relations.

After the meeting, Mr. Thang and Australian Ambassador to Vietnam Andrew Goledzinowski co-chaired the 2nd Vietnam-Australia Center Project Steering Committee meeting; and opened the Central Office located at the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics./.
