Oman supports specialized ambulances for Vietnam Red Cross

Medical equipment for epidemic prevention and control, and specialized ambulances to transport poor patients are items that the Kingdom of Oman will support for the Vietnam Red Cross (VRC) in the near future.

On June 29, in Hanoi, Ms. Bui Thi Hoa, VRC President, had a meeting with the representative of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Oman in Vietnam.

At the meeting, the two sides informed each other the results of the implementation of the work in the past time, as well as the orientation of cooperation in the coming time. The two sides also agreed on a list of items that the Kingdom of Oman supports for the Vietnam Red Cross Society, including medical equipment for epidemic prevention (masks, gloves and protective suits), especially supporting more specialized ambulances to transport poor patients. The two sides are also expected to hold an awarding and handover ceremony in the near future.

Vietnam and the Kingdom of Oman established diplomatic relations on June 9, 1992. Over the past 30 years, bilateral relations between the two countries have made many achievements in all fields. In particular, economic cooperation between the two countries is constantly being promoted and becoming more and more practical. Bilateral trade turnover in 2021 reached USD338.1 million, an increase of 100% compared to 2020, an impressive growth in the context of difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic./.
