Quang Nam supports Lao students

According to this resolution, the supported subjects are Lao officials, students and pupils who are trained by the competent authority of Quang Nam province at public training institutions in the province and other training institutions (except for international training institutions).

Lao officials, pupils and students participate in training and fostering under the cooperation program with Quang Nam province at the levels vocational training, college, university and postgraduate; Vietnamese language training; and improvement of professional knowledge in less than 12 months.

Accordingly, Lao international students are supported for monthly living expenses with VND3.6 each person per month.

For postgraduate trained at public training institutions in the province, 100% of tuition fees will be supported according to the notice of the training institution; living expenses of VND4.2 million each person per month and some personal belongings with the amount of VND1.5 million per person for each training course, will be provided.

Along with that, they will also be supported the cost of electricity and water in the dormitory at VND100,000 each person per month; travel expenses worth VND1 million each person for one way back and forth; and health insurance during the study period at 4.5% of the base salary as prescribed Government.

Under the resolution, Lao students are also supported to organize activities to celebrate the National Day of Vietnam and the National Day of Laos; and meeting for Vietnamese traditional Tet and Lao traditional New Year, with VND800,000 per person for 4 times a year.

Quang Nam province will provide financial support for training institutions to renew visas or temporary residence cards for Lao students up to VND1 million each person per year./.
