Thai Nguyen University of Education presented with Lao Order

On October 26, the Thai Nguyen University of Education received the Order of Friendship from the Lao State.

The Thai Nguyen University of Education is a leading higher education institution in training and fostering high-quality teachers and educational administrators; scientific research and knowledge-technology transfer to serve the cause of education and socio-economic development of the whole country.

The university is also assigned by the Ministry of Education and Training the task of fostering Vietnamese, providing undergraduate and postgraduate training for international students in general and Lao students in particular.

After graduation, students and trainees have joined the team of teachers and lecturers for universities, colleges and high schools of Laos, contributing to the successful implementation of the mission of education and training in Laos.

The school is always interested in encouraging and creating the best conditions for international students in the process of research and study.

In addition to scholarships under the agreement between the two governments, since 2015, the university has provided scholarships to nearly 300 Lao students with a total budget of about USD3 billion.

On this occasion, authorized by the Lao State President, Deputy Minister of Education and Sports of Laos Sisouk Vongvichit presented the Order of Friendship of the Lao State to the university and three individuals for their positive contributions to cooperation in training human resources for Laos.

Four other individuals of the university received the Friendship Medal of the State of Laos./.
