Vietnam Airlines and Turkish Airlines set up cooperation

In the city of Istanbul (Turkey), on June 6, Turkish National Airlines (Turkish Airlines - a member of Star Alliance) and the Vietnam National Airlines (Vietnam Airlines - a member of SkyTeam) held a ceremony to sign a codeshare agreement.

This codeshare cooperation will bring more flexible and diverse flight options to passengers on routes between Vietnam and Turkey, as well as neighboring regions of the two countries.

Accordingly, passengers can book and buy tickets on Turkish Airlines and Vietnam Airlines to fly between Istanbul-Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City and between Hanoi-Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City-Da Nang.

The destinations are important economic, social and tourist centers in Turkey and Vietnam.

According to Mr. Le Hong Ha, General Director of Vietnam Airlines, the cooperation between the two airlines will bring more options and attractive benefits to passengers, and make an important contribution to the expansion of the route network and diversify products and services of Vietnam Airlines and Turkish Airlines. Besides, the cooperation will help promote economic, cultural and tourism exchanges between Vietnam and Turkey, attracting more passengers to visit the two countries.

Vietnam Airlines is the national airline of Vietnam, playing a key role in the air transport of Vietnam and the region. The airline provides air transportation services on nearly 100 routes to domestic and international destinations. Owning a modern fleet of 100 aircraft, Vietnam Airlines is the first airline in the Asia-Pacific region to operate two new generation aircraft Boeing 787 and Airbus A350 simultaneously.
