Vietnam – India sea connectivity: Creating highway to promote trade

The Vietnamese Embassy in New Delhi, India, has coordinated with the National Marine Fund of India (NMF) to organize the 3rd workshop themed "Promoting maritime connectivity to ensure comprehensive security".

The conference was attended by more than 100 officials, experts, scholars and economists from Vietnam and India.

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Dr. Do Thanh Hai, Counselor of the Vietnamese Embassy in India, emphasized that the shipping corridor is important for trade and investment between the two countries, reducing transportation and logistics costs, supporting businesses to exchange goods, access each other's markets.

Despite the rapid development of aviation and the expansion of the road network, 90-95% of goods are transported by sea./.
