Vietnam, Israel boost innovation start-up among youngsters

The Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Israeli Embassy in Vietnam agreed to continue promoting youth cooperation relations between the two countries in the coming time, including connecting and exchanging cooperation between experts, youth and students on innovation start-up, high-tech agriculture, artificial intelligence and digital economy.

The agreement was reached on March 11 in Hanoi during a reception for Israeli Ambassador to Vietnam Nadav Eshcar by Party Central Committee member and First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Nguyen Anh Tuan.

The First Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan expressed his pleasure that the cooperation between the two countries has brought about good results in many fields, such as agriculture, irrigation, water conservation, the program on agricultural trainees, education, trade, science – technology and security - defense. In 2023, the two countries will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the official establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Israel (July 12).

The First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union expressed his thanks to the Israeli Embassy for supporting youth cooperation activities between the two countries, especially in inviting Vietnamese youth delegations and students to visit and study experience in entrepreneurship, hi-tech agricultural development in Israel; and for supporting the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Federation to organize startup competitions for young people.

Ambassador Nadav Eshcar said that the diplomatic relationship between Vietnam and Israel had been built on a solid foundation laid many years ago by the two leaders President Ho Chi Minh and the first Prime Minister of Israel Ben Gurion. He affirmed that Israel is always ready to cooperate with Vietnam in general and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee in particular.

According to Ambassador Nadav Eshcar, every year, Israel welcomes hundreds of post-graduates and students to study and do short-term research in the field of agriculture. The program is a cooperation with 30 countries around the world, in which Vietnam has the highest number of students.

In the coming time, the two sides agreed to continue promoting the youth cooperation relationship between the two countries by supporting youth’s startup activities; connecting and exchanging cooperation between experts, youth and students on creative start-ups, high-tech agriculture, artificial intelligence and digital economy; and organizing a contest to study the history of Vietnam-Israel cooperation relationship for the youth of the two countries.

At the reception, the First Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan sincerely invited Ambassador Nadav Eshcar to participate in the program "Meeting with international friends of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union" on March 19. This is one of the important activities to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union./.
