Vietnamese – German Vice Chancellor awarded honorary doctorate

On September 17, the National University of Economics in Hanoi awarded an honorary doctorate to Philipp Rösler, Germany’s Vice Chancellor and Minister of Economics and Technology, who is on a visit to Vietnam.

The award was in recognition of the contributions by Philipp Rösler to the economic, cultural, educational, scientific and technological cooperation between Vietnam and Germany, thus helping to enhance the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

During the ceremony, doctor Philipp Rösler delivered a speech on the opportunity of the social market economy.

 

The award ceremony took place in a solemn atmosphere.

 

 Before Philipp Rösler, the university awarded honorary doctorates for Party and State leaders from Laos, Cambodia and the Republic of Korea.
