“Hanoi – City for Peace” exhibition opens in Hanoi

The award ceremony and fine art exhibition titled “Hanoi – City for Peace”, co-organised by the Hanoi Art Photography Association and the Vietnam Artistic Photographer Association, took place at the Exhibition Information Center, 24 Trang Tien, Hanoi on October 9.
The exhibition marks the 58th anniversary of the Capital's Liberation Day (10/10/1954 – 10/10/2012). Over 4 months after its launch, the contest has attracted the participation of 118 artists nationwide with 1,046 entries. The prestigious jury board has selected 11 works for awards and 136 others for display at the exhibition.
The entries in the contest cover various topics, depicting the life of Hanoi people in their daily labour, production and study, in a civilized, elegant and developed Hanoi.
