(CPV) – The opening ceremony of an exhibition titled “”Hanoi in Those Bombing Days in 1972” co-organised by the French School of Bac Co Far East Institute and French Embassy in Vietnam was opened at the French Cultural Centre (L’Espace), 24 Trang Tien, in Hanoi on October 11.
The exhibition aims to mark 40th anniversary of the US bombing of the French representative office in Hanoi on October 11 in 1972.
From the bombing of North Vietnam in the spring of 1972 until the end with the signing of the Paris Agreement (27.01.1973), the exhibition presents the people of Hanoi and the tragic fate of thousands of civilians killed or wounded in the war of destruction of the American Empire through historical documents and witnesses.
These are some photos recalling the most memorable moments in 1972 in Hanoi – the year that led to the end of the conflict between Vietnam and the US.
