Over 500 poor people in Hoai An and Phu My districts of the southern province of Binh Dinh have been given free medical check-ups and medicines.
This was a part of activities to mark the 56th year of the traditional day of the Vietnamese Youth Association.
The program “young doctors obey Uncle Ho’s advice volunteering for community health” was put on by doctors from the Binh Dinh provincial club of young doctors.
According to doctor Bui Le Vy Chinh, Secretary of the Youth Union of the Binh Dinh provincial health college, the program aimed to provide medicines for poor people in remote and island regions, in order to help them promptly detect and treat diseases.
