Vietnam’s largest dorm complex to accommodate 60,000 students

The dormitory complex of the Ho Chi Minh City National University is being built with capital of VND3.529 billion, to become the largest one of the country. By late 2013 when it is completed, it is expected to be a modern university urban area.

The dormitories are being built on an area of 59 hectares. |

It has 61 construction sites with 51 units of 5 to 16 floors with diverse services such as basements, management house, dining rooms, medical centres, cultural houses, supermarkets and bus stations. |

Area B of the complex was inaugurated in October 2009 with an area of 40 hectares. |
|
The complex is expected to be completed on 31 December 2013, providing accommodation for some 60,000 students and becoming the first comprehensive university urban area of the country. |

The three first constructions with five buildings have been completed, serving 5,200 students. |
