1,000 monks pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh on national Buddhism Congress

On November 22, Buddhist monks across the country paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh when in Hanoi to attend the 7th national Buddhism Congress.

 

 One thousand monks who are delegates of the Congress, which lasts from November 21-24, gathered at Ba Dinh Square to visit President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum on November 22.

 

 Superior Buddhist monk Thich Thanh Son from the Vietnam Buddhist Shangha.

 

 Vietnam Buddhist Shangha now has some 46,500 monks and tens of thousands of Buddhist followers who study at pagodas across the country.

 
 

 Many monks from the southern region visited President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum for the first time.

 

 Monks respectfully paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh.

 The 7th national Buddhism Congress drew the participation of 1,104 delegates.

 

 This congress aims to review Buddhist work in 2007-2012 and work out the action plan for 2012-2017.
