Warm love for army and people in the country’s border areas

(CPV) – From January 25 - 28, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Administration task force, led by the Prof. Dr. Ta Ngoc Tan, the Party Central Committee's member and Director of the Academy, paid a visit and presented Tet gifts to officers and soldiers at several units of the border guard and people at some border areas in Muong Te district, Lai Chau province.

Following are some images of the exchange and Tet gift donating ceremony, which took place on the evening of January 26. The event was held by the Ka Lang border post and local authorities, in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Administration.

Despite the cold weather, crowds of ethnic minority people from Ka Lang
commune, Muong Te district and neighbouring communes
came to enjoy the exchange program

Ka Lang commune has 343 households with nearly 2,000 members, among
them 236 poor households. Mr. Po Po Chu, Chairman of the Ka Lang
communal People’s Committee, said that 98% of the people
in the commune belong to the Ha Nhi ethnic group

 Ha Nhi ethnic group girls were beautifully dressed in their traditional costumes
chosen for this night

The exchange program was held at the Ka Lang ethnic minority boarding
high school. For this reason, the teachers and students themselves
were the most excited participants

Prof. Dr. Ta Ngoc Tan, Party Central Committee member and Director
of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Administration,
granted gifts for the officers and soldiers of Ka Lang border
post and authority, and the people as well

Granting scholarships to support students in overcoming difficulties
to study at the Ka Lang ethnic minority boarding high school

 Presenting towels, warm blankets and cash for disadvantaged households
on the occasion of the Lunar New Year

Representatives of the Heart of Gold Fund (Lao Dong newspaper) granted 11
barrels of goods including clothes, raincoats and soap, which were funded
by donations for the soldiers of the Ka Lang border post
and the local people

 Officers and reporters of VTV6, Vietnam Television, also granted TVs and
other gifts to the border guards and fellow-citizens on Tet holidays

Cultural programmes were performed for the students of Ka Lang ethnic
minority boarding high school, local people and officials of Ka Lang border
post, and members of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics
and Administration task force

 The traditional bamboo dance attracted not only local people, but also many
members of the task force who had never danced it before

 "Hold my hand, do not be afraid of bamboo hurting your leg,
it is not difficult…!”

 "Oh, the lowlanders dance looks so funny!”

 It was a really memorable night for the locals and soldiers
in this northwest area
