Da Nang: Spring Flower Street 2013 for Tet holiday

(CPV) – On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2013 (Year of Snake), Danang citizens and tourists will have the change to enjoy the Spring Flower Street 2013 which runs along the poetic Han River in Danang city.

Under the theme "A hundred varieties of flower blooms”, the one-kilometre Spring Flower Street 2013, designed by TA Landscape Architecture (Ho Chi Minh City) and executed by artisans from the Dien Ban rattan and bamboo knit trade village, runs along the park on the bank of the Han River, from the Bach Dang - Phan Dinh Phung intersection to the Bach Dang - Le Van Duyet intersection.

The street will be divided into six sections with themes of spring in memory, spring of prosperity, spring of mountain and water, flower blossom, season of love and season of convergence. Each theme will have its own flowers and symbol.

The Bach Dang Spring Flower Street 2013 was completed on January 31 and officially opened on February 7 (December 27 of the lunar month), and it is scheduled to last until February 14 (January 5 of the lunar month).

 Inspired by the Year of Snake 2013, flower street will also feature works
depicting images of cobras and snakes, and there will be a snake r
eleasing a pearl, a symbol of good luck and prosperity

More than 100,000 baskets of flowers and ornamental trees with more than
100 types of flowers such as daisy, orchid, rose, marigold, tulip,
carnation and lily are waiting installation
