(CPV) – The 2013 Chau Van Singing Festival for the Red River Delta closed in Vinh Yen city, Vinh Phuc province on March 25.
More than 200 artists from 10 amateur art troupes took part in the 2013 Chau Van Singing Festival for the Red River Delta, which opened in Vinh Yen city, Vinh Phuc province on March 24.
The festival was part of the Vinh Phuc 2013 Tourism-Culture Week, in response to the National Tourism Year in the Red River Delta.
This is also an important activity to preserve, honour and promote the spiritual folk art’s value in Vietnam’s Cultural Heritage, contributing to making the art an intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
Closing the festival, the Department of Culture of Vinh Phuc province – Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism awarded 8 gold medals. 20 silver medals and 10 honour credits for art troupes participating in the festival.
The organizing board also awarded 2 excellent prizes for public art troupes of Vinh Phuc and Hanoi, and 4 first prizes for public art troupes from the provinces Thai Binh, Nam Dinh, Ha Nam and Ninh Binh. It also awarded 4 second prizes for public art troupes from the provinces and cities Hai Phong, Bac Ninh, Hung Yen and Hai Duong.
