Unique 1,000 year-old Da Huong tree in Bac Giang

(CPV) – The 1,000 year-old Da Huong (wide camphor) tree at Giua hamlet, Tien Luc commune, Lang Giang district in Bac Giang province is a national historical landmark.
For a thousand of years, the Da Huong old tree has witnessed events, festivals and the ups and downs of the village’s history.
At present, the thousand-year-old Da Huong tree is a tourist destination for lots of visitors and environmental researchers. It has been recognized as the national heritage by the government.

The Tien Luc communal national relic complex includes the Da Huong tree, Vien Son and Thuan Hoa communal houses, Phuc Quang church and Thanh Ca temple, ranked as a national relic complex in January 21, 1989. The Da Huong tree is one of the most ancient, valuable and rare trees in the world and it has been recognized as a national heritage |

The Da Huong tree has a majestic shape. The largest perimeter of its trunk is 12.5 meters. Height of the tree is 36 meters and the bark averages 15cm thick |
