Ha Phong garment company after the fire

On April 6, a fire burned the three-hectare factory of the Ha Phong garment company in Bac Giang province.

Initial estimates show that property damage from the fire amounts to hundreds of millions of VND; nearly 1,500 motorcycles of the workers; 2,500 pieces of machinery; 100 computers and printers; 1.2 million completed clothing products; 800,000 meters of fabric and many other assets were reduced to ashes.

According to the workers, the fire started from the garment finishing workshop at around 4 pm on April 6, and it was controlled at about 7 hours later, with the participation of over 20 fire trucks and hundreds of fire police officers.

At the time the fire occurred, more than 2,000 workers were working at the factory, but there was no loss of life.

 All of the completed fabric goods and materials were burned

 Short circuits occurred when the fire broke out, making it more difficult
to bring the fire under control

 The sewing machines before and after the fire

 Many empty fire extinguishers were left beside the factory, now turned into ashes

The instructions for use the fire extinguishers in the Ha Phong II factory had also
 been mobilized to fight fire for the Ha Phong I garment factory

 Assembling new sewing machines at the Ha Phong I factory for the workers
 to come back to work

 The cutting team return to work immediately on April 9,
while the sewing workers start from April 10
