Ho Chi Minh City shines with golden shower tree flowers

Golden shower tree flowers blossom in Ho Chi Minh City in April. They can be seen everywhere, from the roadside, in front of houses or on the roof.

The tree grows well in sunny and dry places.

A bunch of flowers is from 20-40 centimetres in length.

Each flower has a diameter of 4-7 centimetres with 5 kidney-shaped yellow petals.

The yellow flowers overwhelm the green leaves.

The flower is planted in Cambodia and Japan. It is the national flower of Thailand.

Buddhists call it the flower of revival, as it blossoms during Buddha’s birthday.
