Flag salute at windy Ba Dinh Square

Over the past 12 years, no matter the weather, Hanoians and tourists have a chance to view the flag salute ceremony in the early mornings at Ba Dinh Square.

The solemn ceremony taking place in that holy place make people prouder and promote their patriotism.
 
 Soldiers are very proud of being in the line at the flag raising ceremony.
 
 Before 6am, many people wait for flag salute at Ba Dinh Square.
 
 The honorary team consists of 34 soldiers, representing the first 34 soldiers of the Vietnam Propaganda Liberation Army, later the People’s Army of Vietnam.
