900 students wearing national flag form the word “Vietnam”

After arranging themselves to form the word “Vietnam” which was 150 metres wide, 900 national flags brought to Ly Son Island, the central province of Quang Ngai, by excellent students were presented to fishermen who regularly fish the waters around the Spratly and Paracel Islands.
 
 On May 3, children in Quang Ngai province welcomed a delegation of excellent students from universities and colleges landing Sa Ky Port to Ly Son Island during the program entitled “Students with the nation’s seas and islands 2013”.
 
 Playing guitar and singing songs on Vietnam’s sovereignty over seas and islands on the way to Ly Son Island.
 
 900 excellent students wearing the national flags form the word “Vietnam” on the top of Thoi Loi Mountain on Ly Son Island.
 
 Each students bring to the island a national flag.
 
 After that, these flags were presented to captains of ships catching fish in the seas offshore the Spratly and Paracel Islands.

 Students brought the model of Spratly Islands sovereignty to the camp.
 
 Framehouse DK1 on Spratly Islands recalled. According to Bui Quang Huy, deputy chairman of the Vietnam Students’ Association, this was the first time the student program came to Ly Son Island. The activity was held to promote awareness on sovereignty over seas and islands among the young generation. Many students also donated scholarships to poor children, gave books and playthings to children. The Ho Chi Minh City Association of Young Doctors gave medical check-ups and treatment to poor people on Ly Son Island.
