National Assembly Vice Chairwoman meets 72 outstanding young pioneers

On May 15, National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan met 72 outstanding young pioneers of the “Thousands of good deeds” movement in Hanoi.
On the occasion of 50th anniversary of the “Thousands of good deeds” movement (24/3/1963 – 24/3/2013); the 72nd anniversary of Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organisation (15/5/2941 – 15/5/2013) and the 123rd anniversary of Uncle Ho’s birth (19/5/1890 – 19/5/2013), the Central Communist Youth Union in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Training, and the Bac Ninh provincial People’s Committee, held a ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the “Thousands of good deeds” movement and cite 72 outstanding young pioneers of the movement.
The achievement-reporting and presenting certificates of merit ceremony was held at Ba Dinh Square, Hanoi. The ceremony was attended by the Permanent Secretary of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee Pham Van Mai and Secretary of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee Ms Nguyen Thi Ha.
On behalf of 72 outstanding young pioneers, pupil Huynh Huu Trang Thanh from Can Tho city reported
to Uncle Ho on the achievements they have gained over the past years and respectfully offered him
the flowers of thousands of good deeds.
At the ceremony, the outstanding young pioneers were honoured to receive the certificates of merit by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee. The pioneers paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum.

Addressing at the ceremony, National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan said over the past 50 years the movement has been enthusiastically received, and urged the pupils to study harder to become useful citizens and eventually contribute to national construction. Ngan also asked the relevant agencies to pay more attention to child care and protection.

outstanding young pioneers of the “Thousands of good deeds” movement.
