Unique trees and bulbs at fruits festival

A manioc cluster weighing nearly 50 kilograms, a dish of fruits weighing 3 tons and a five-top coconut tree were among the unique displays at the festival on delicious and safe fruits and agricultural products, which was held in the southern province of Ben Tre from June 9-13.

 

 This was annual festival of Ben Tre province’s agricultural sector. In the picture above is a work highlighting maternal love made from the base of a tree. 

 Four creatures – dragon, unicorn, tortoise and phoenix – made from 3 tons of coconut shells within 8 months with a capital of nearly VND90 million, is 2.8 metres in height.

 A crocodile made from poon tree.  

 A tiny coconut tree won the first prize of strange ornamental plant. 

 A five-top coconut tree.  

 A dish of fruit with a diameter of 3 metres, a height of 4.3 metres with 25 specialties of Ben Tre province, weighs 3 tons with a cost of VND100 million. The organizing committee chose it to register for a Vietnam Guinness record.
