Forest project inaugurated in northern province

A forest project has just been opened in the two communes of Nong Thuong and Xuat Hoa of the northern province of Bac Kan by Honda Company, to keep Vietnam green.

The project will be carried out over 8 years and last until 2020 under the technical consultancy of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Vietnam Forestry University (VFU). |

After the opening ceremony, delegates, together with 300 workers of Honda Company and VFU students, participated in planting trees. |

They planted trees under technical instruction from experts. |
 |
|
In 2013, the project will be carried out in Bac Kan province. From 2013 to 2020, the company will provide VND4.9 billion to plant 490 hectares of protective forests in Nong Thuong and Xuat Hoa communes. |

Green trees will contribute to reduce bare hill areas. |

The project will encourage the province’s tree planting, and increase individuals’ and organizations’ awareness of environmental protection, forwarding social involvement in the future. |
